The Process Behind Creating Large-Scale Metal Sculptures

Step into our workshop and discover the engineering and artistry required to bring monumental metal artwork to life.

The Process Behind Creating Large-Scale Metal Sculptures

Creating a large-scale metal sculpture is a complex dance between artistic vision and structural engineering. It requires not just a creative mind, but a deep understanding of metallurgy, physics, and fabrication techniques.

    From Maquette to Monument

Every large piece begins as a small-scale model, known as a maquette. Once the design is finalized, the engineering begins. We must calculate wind loads, structural integrity, and weight distribution—especially for public installations or pieces placed in high-wind coastal areas.

    The Fabrication Stage

In the workshop, heavy steel plates are plasma-cut, rolled, and forged. Our master welders meticulously join the pieces, often spending weeks grinding and polishing the welds until they are completely invisible, creating the illusion of a single, continuous, flowing form.
